We urgently need donations by 28th March before major tram works commence on Leith Walk. There will be no parking or loading bays outside the shop for approximately for 18 months. We can arrange a collection during the works and there should be a hub at the Foot of the Walk where donations can be dropped off. Please support us during these trying times.
Please phone 0131 5537016 if you need items collected or you can drop them off at the shop, 87 Leith Walk. We especially need clothes, accessories, bric a brac, vinyl, books and toys.
Thank you for your support and please share.
We are delighted that All Together Edinburgh has been chosen to benefit from the Co-op Local Community Fund.
At a time when funds for community groups and charitable organisations are becoming more difficult to access, we’re incredibly grateful for this opportunity to make a real difference in Leith, Edinburgh.
We are raising funds for our charity shop/training centre to free staff up to concentrate on raising the profile of the project, increase stock levels and generate much needed funds through fundraising events/partnerships. We aim to raise funds through the sale of donated goods and through other fundraising activities. The Co-op local community fund will help us reach these aims.
The All Together charity shop focuses on providing training for training people with learning disabilities, creating more opportunities for them to move onto other work. Trainees gain retail and work skills, confidence and an accredited qualification through a recognised training programme. They also receive support to move onto further employment.
Our ethos is to break down barriers to employment and change the way people with disabilities are perceived in society. By bringing everyone together for a common cause, we’re helping to build a more cohesive and understanding community
To help funds, we’ll be relying on Co-op members. When a member buys selected products or services from the Co-op they earn a five per cent reward for themselves, with a further one per cent for local causes like ours.
The Co-op is looking to support organisations that make a difference in their local communities by protecting & improving community spaces, helping people reach their full potential by developing their skills, or promoting health and wellbeing Co-op members can choose a cause by going online www.coop.co.uk/membership. We really hope that people will visit the website and choose to support us. The direct link for All Together Edinburgh is https://membership.coop.co.uk/causes/40267
If you’re not a member and would like to support us, you can join at your local store or online at www.coop.co.uk.
When a community comes together we’re able to achieve great things, so we hope you can help promote our project. For more information about us, please visit www.alltogetheredinburgh.org.uk or visit our charity shop/training centre, 87 Leith Walk, Edinburgh
