Thank you

All Together Edinburgh, like many businesses  are finding it tough because of the effects of Covid-19 and the tram works in Leith Walk. However, we have also been incredibly fortunate because of the great deal of help and support we have had in these difficult times. I wanted to say thank you to these people/ organisations:

A huge thank you to everyone who became a co-op member and chose us as their local cause from November 2019 to October 2020. You helped us raise over  £1200!

Thank you to Co-op for choosing us as your local cause 2019/20 and 2020/21! This provides an opportunity to raise vital funds and promote our service. Thanks to Roan at Co-op, Mcdonald Road for donating goods for our Christmas hampers and Lara Celini, Co=op member pioneer,  for helping us to promote our cause.

Thank you to Scotmid for donating £200 worth of vouchers, to be used for gifts at our individual certificate presentations in December 2020.

We would also like to thank Zero Waste Scotland for providing £500 to help us to adapt our shop/training centre in Leith. This helped us to ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers, trainees and customers.

A thank you also goes to Out of the Blue, Leith for printing leaflets to help promote the need for donations to our charity shop. They did this free of charge because they wanted to help projects in the Leith community. This has helped us to increase the number of donations and provide quality goods at affordable prices to the local community.

Thank you to the people who have supported us for the last 10 years. We don’t always appreciate all the hard work and careful decisions that our trustees make so thank you Wendy, Michael, Bill and Arthur for your continued support.

Many other key people have supported us from day one -Noel Guy for promoting All Together at every opportunity, admin and work placements, for his work in the shop and for asking his friends to donate to All Together as a birthday gift! Thanks to Michael Stubbings, who spends many hours filling in funding application forms to help us to fund our service, event management and for his duties as a trustee and an adviser.

Thanks to James Duncan, who has helped us every year, setting up websites, fundraising opportunities and work placements. He is now helping us to set up online learning for some of our trainees. Thanks, also to Darren Howard who hosts our graduation every year. He is a true professional and a great supporter of All Together. All of these kind gentlemen have witnessed first-hand what these achievements mean to our trainees and their families.

Finally, thank you to the staff, the trainees and volunteers in the shop for your hard work and dedication. You are a great team to work with! A special thanks must go to Angie Chrystal who has supported us for the last 5 years, managing  the shop to give us a day off, helping us to increase donations and funds and for promoting us through Facebook.

There are many others who continue to support us, including our loyal customers and those who donate goods to our shop. There are many organisations who offer us advice, courses and networking opportunities to help us continue our work and prepare for the future challenges. Thank you to all of you. We couldn’t do it without you.

All Together Secures Funding from Co-op and Scotmid

We have done it again! We have been chosen to be part of the Co-op Local Community Fund for another year ( from November 2020 to October 2021). Thank you Co-op for this wonderful opportunity.

We plan to use the funding to buy COVID-19 training resources and materials. This will help to educate our trainees in social distancing and safe hygiene measures.

If you would like to be a member of Co-op and receive many benefits. You can join here: http://coop.co.uk/membership

If you would like to support our cause, you can become a Co-op member and support us here: https://membership.coop.co.uk/causes/49320

Thank you Scotmid!

Scotmid very generously awarded All Together Edinburgh £200 in Scotmid vouchers through their community grant funding programme. These vouchers will be used to buy gifts for our 2019/20 graduates at Christmas.

Unfortunately, we will not be holding our annual graduation this year but we hope to present certificates on an individual basis and still make the occasion really special. The trainees have worked so hard this year to achieve their awards and have had to contend with many changes due to Covid-19. These gifts will go a long way to making the occasion extra special.
