Hooray!! The All Together Edinburgh Shop/Training Centre has now been refurbished. It now has a new wooden floor and LED lighting, new shop fittings and been freshly painted/decorated..It is much brighter, fresher, modern, spacious and has a splash of colour. The feedback from staff, volunteers, trainees and customers has been fantastic.
We would like to thank all the volunteers who helped to empty the shop before the shopfitters went in, who painted the shop, put the shop fittings in place, who transported stock and stocked/merchandised the shop ready in time for the grand opening. The shop made over £1000 the first day.
Funding was secured through the Leith Chooses event, Baily Thomas Charitable Fund and the Barlerno/Currie Round Table. Our landlord also kindly contributed to the costs. We would like to thank you all so much as the shop has a new lease of life and a joy to work in.
We would also like to give a special thank you to all the people who voted for All Together in the Leith Chooses Event. We could not have made these improvements without you. You have continued to support us since we re-opened and love the new, modern look.
A big thank you to the volunteers from PriceWaterhouseCooper who volunteered as part of their One Firm One Day program. Diana, Taylor and Jennifer priced and displayed vintage and vinyl products in the shop window.
We are looking for more donations of vintage clothes and accessories and vinyl (60s to 90s)
Thank you to Debbie, Robyn and Craig for cycling in the Pedal for Scotland Wee Jaunt 10 Miler. They cycled from Linlithgow to Edinburgh with a few mishaps along the way. Debbie had to carry Craig’s bike with a burst tyre for the last mile!
Thank you to everybody who supported them including family, friends and customers.
The team raised £201 for the All Together Edinburgh charity shop training centre.
With your support All Together managed to raise over £1100 at the Leith Learning Disability Event, Leith Festival and Meadows Festival. Our dedicated team of volunteers ran a stall selling clothes, jewellery, vinyl and tombola. Everyone had great fun meeting people from different areas and letting them know about the All Together charity shop/training centre in Leith. A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped out on the stalls and to all our loyal supporters who came along on the day.
We also raised £350 at The Social in the Gardens in July. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped.
We are please to announce that all of our 2017/18 trainees graduated at the White House, Craigmillar on Wednesday 18th April.

Our mission is to "Create training and employment opportunities for people with learning disabilities". It is committed to helping them to improve their chances of moving into employment.
Our charity shop is vital in that it offers a practical learning environment that facilitates learning, opportunities to improve confidence, work and people skills that are required in the mainstream labour market.
It also offers a way to raise funds for our work and to break down some of the barriers that these individuals encounter. The combination of our accredited training programme, with recognised qualifications will ensure the achievement of our aims.
